What does it support? Good bone health, Mood and immune system.

Menopause Matters! During menopause oestrogen drops and bone loss speeds up. Vitamin D is important as it helps your body absorb much needed calcium.

Pick a Vitamin D rich food...

  • Oily fish (salmon, mackerel, sardines)

  • Egg yolks

  • Fortified yoghurt

  • Milk - look for dairy or plant that has had Vitamin D added to it!

  • Liver (small amount - not one for me but...!)

  • Tinned tuna in oil

Food sources of Vitamin D are quite limited, so supplements could be your friend here, especially during those winter months where (depending on your location), sunlight might be limited. The good news is Vitamin D tablets and gummies don't seem to be attracting the high price tag that comes with some menopause supplements.
